Andersonville Behavioral Health has remained committed to the community by providing counseling and psychotherapy services during the COVID-19 pandemic through a telehealth platform. For the safety of all our patients and our clinicians, we have complied strictly with the recommendations of the CDC and have continued seeing our patients using a confidential, video-conferencing software that is HIPAA-compliant.
We know that this time has raised much anxiety and we also understand the importance of continuing to receive reliable and compassionate care from well-trained mental health professionals.
More recently, Andersonville Behavioral Health transitioned to a hybrid practice with both on-ground AND telehealth services. We will strongly encourage our medically at-risk and immunocompromised patients to continue their counseling and psychotherapy through the telemedicine platform; however, we understand that some patients, by the nature of their clinical concerns, developmental level, or need for neuropsychological assessment, which does not readily translate to a telemedicine platform, will begin a slow-and-safe transition back to in-office services. We will use a risk-reduction model to keep everyone safe. Our approach will include strict social distancing on site, wearing of protective face masks by clinicians and patients alike, having windows open to permit air flow, the use of medical-grade HEPA air purifiers in all offices, regular disinfecting of offices, reduction of office utilization to a 50% capacity, and staggered schedules to prevent crowding of our office spaces.
We do have openings for new patients, and we would be glad to answer any questions you may have about both telehealth services and on-ground services. We wish you peace, safety, and positive well-being – the ABH Team.
