Andersonville Depression Screening Days
This October, the clinicians at Andersonville Behavioral Health will host free depression screenings adjacent to the Andersonville Farmer’s Market at Clark and Berwyn. Building on our clinic’s decade-long history of participating in National Depression Screening Day, these screening events are a way for us to give back and bring awareness of depression and mental health to the community.
Depression Screenings Matter
Clinical depression remains significantly undiagnosed and untreated in a majority of those who exhibit five or more depressive symptoms for longer than two weeks. Also, since depression can co-occur and complicate other medical conditions, the screenings can be an especially valuable tool. Although screenings are not a complete diagnosis, they are able to point out the presence or absence of depressive symptoms. Our expert clinicians are well-qualified to provide further evaluation if needed.
Each screening lasts approximately ten minutes and consists of a simple questionnaire, followed by a brief feedback session.
At Clark & Berwyn. Free & Confidential. No appointment needed.

A screening merely points out the presence or absence of depressive symptoms and is only the first step in diagnosing and treating depression.
